At this time we need laughter, and for a fair portion of hilarity in this area there are no better than Bosnians. That is why we decided for everyone who understands the language that people from the ExYu area most often call "Our language" to stream online the stand up show " They Call Us Bosnians " of the Zagreb BIS comedy collective. It will be a stream of a real stand up show, in front of a real, live audience in a cinema in the small town of Duga Resa in Croatia on wednesday - February 24 at 8 p.m. The recording will remain uncut and unedited later in the "live on tape" offer.
Warning: This is our first "online stream" show, we hope there will be no technical problems, but if there are, we ask all viewers to say a Bosnian "jebiga" with us and support us with the traditional "nekako ćemo".
Stand up show They Call Us Bosnians is performed by comedians Marko Dejanovic and Admir Sheckanovic . These are two guys who are identified as Bosnians everywhere, except in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
What it is like to be a real Bosnian (lives outside BiH), what it is like to be a Muslim comedian, ethnic mixed, refugee, but also what it is like to be Admir and Marko will talk in this hilarious show.
Admir Adi Šećkanović was born in Zagreb as the second generation of Bosnian immigrants. This is not heard in his accent, but the diameter of his head, his name and the fact that he is the only Muslim comedian in Zagreb classify him as a Bosnian.
Marko Dejanović aka Napushena Panda was born in Banja Luka, but it was Yugoslavia at the time. Most of his life, as a true Bosnian, he lives in Zagreb. As an ethnic mixed race in BiH, he would have to fall into the category of "Others", but he did not stay there, but he came to Zagreb after exile, where he can live peacefully as a Bosnian "newcomer".
Tickets are by price: 5 euros in advance, 6 euros on the day of performance 24.02.21 and onward.
If you are unable to follow the event live, it will be available for later viewing until March 2, 2021.
